Villa della Pergola: A season to remember for the Relais, the Nove Restaurant, and the Gardens
Another successful season has come to an end for Villa della Pergola in Alassio, an establishment increasingly recognized as an example of heritage protection and enhancement.
The Nove Restaurant is also closing for the winter break. The Gardens remain open for the fall and winter seasons.
The 2025 season has ended for Villa della Pergola and its restaurant, Nove, and they will see their customers again in March 2026.
A season full of emotions, growth and continuous research for the Restaurant, which, led for the second year by Chef Antonio Romano, has evolved and expanded its offering, confirming itself as one of the most appreciated restaurants in Liguria, achieving important recognitions in the most famous guides and, above all, certificates of esteem from customers.
A season during which it was possible to try the two tasting menus, Naturalia and Terrae. Among the representative creations of the Nove cuisine, led by Chef Romano and Sous Chef Francesco Di Girolamo: "Plin stuffed with goat cheese," "Drunk pigeon salad with Pigato," "Sourdough panzanella," or sweetbreads, the Chef's signature dish, presented with an autumnal twist in "Pumpkin and toasted barley risotto."
All the way to the final indulgence of dessert, "Chocolate soufflé with a variation of chocolate, hazelnuts, verbena, and garden citrus," a new signature dish from young pastry chef Rebecca Segna, who last year won the Golosaria award for best dish of the year with her dessert, Cabossa.
Relais Villa della Pergola renews its appointment in March 2026, after a year in which the offering was increasingly focused on the guest and on an exclusive, unique, and personalized experience. The refined hospitality of "a jewel that enriches the Italian collection" of the Relais & Châteaux family, which two years ago became a member of Dimore Storiche Italiane, the circuit representing the country's excellence, properties that preserve important testimonies of art, history, tradition, identity, and culture..
Villa della Pergola increasingly represents, beyond mere hospitality, a love for the region and its culture, the promotion of history and traditions, and a loving family management that safeguards the heritage it deserves.
THE TWENTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF THE RESCUE
Described as "an extraordinary example of heritage protection and enhancement", Villa della Pergola owes its rebirth to the 2006 rescue operation, which prevented its loss due to potential real estate speculation. 2026 will mark the twentieth anniversary of this important event, a milestone that celebrates not only the preservation of a cultural asset, but also a management vision founded on care, knowledge, and love for the area..
2025 was also a year of significant celebrations: the 150th anniversary of Villa della Pergola was celebrated in conjunction with the "Alassio and the English" exhibition, once again underscoring the profound connection between the site's history, the local community, and the British origins of this extraordinary complex. Villa della Pergola and its Gardens are increasingly cited as an example of good practice in the protection and enhancement of Italy's cultural heritage, thanks in part to the numerous accolades, awards, and conferences that attest to their commitment and value.
THE GARDENS
2025 was also a special year for the Gardens. This year, the "Most Beautiful Park in Italy" received an extraordinary recognition: it became a Partner Garden of the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society, the most important botanical institution in the world presided over by King Charles III of England, which includes only 27 Gardens outside the United Kingdom, a major botanical achievement for Alassio.
The Gardens will remain open daily for guided tours, offering visitors unique scenery, colors, and scents.
